Monday 22nd September
2 – 4pm NICEC Network Meeting - Skills & Growth: the role of Career Development work
5pm Drinks reception to celebrate NICEC's 50th anniversary.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the foundation of NICEC.
To mark this milestone, we are holding a special event on September 22nd in Birmingham which will focus on the central role that Career Development plays in supporting the economy by helping meet the ever-changing skills needs within the labour market to support growth and prosperity.
We have some great speakers lined up, including:
1. Stephen Isherwood, Institute of Student Employers
2. Claudia Jaksch, Policy Connect
3. Speaker TBA, West Midlands Combined Authority
4. Prof. Tristram Hooley, University of Derby
5. Dr Chris Percy, NICEC Fellow and CareerChat UK Co-founder
(Further speaker details to follow).
A lively debate will take place with the panel discussing the role we play and the tension that can exist between supporting both individuals and the wider economy.
This will be followed by a drinks reception (from 5pm) where we will celebrate our achievements across 50 years.
If you would like to join us for the event you can reserve your place below. (Please note there is a charge to attend this event).
We look forward to seeing you in September.
If you are unable to attend in person a recording will be available after the event.
Best wishes
