We are delighted to announce the publication of Issue 57 of the NICEC Journal.
Now in its 26th year, the Journal continues to see growing interest from both contributors and readers, reflecting a vibrant appetite across our sector for rigorous research, critical thinking, and lively debate.
This latest open-call edition brings together eleven substantive articles alongside four book reviews. Spanning international, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary perspectives, the collection offers rich, in-depth reading relevant to career development across the life course.
Free to Read, Free to Publish
The NICEC Journal remains proudly committed to genuine open access for both readers and authors.
Every article is freely available to all, serving as an accessible reference point for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers alike.
We operate with no author-facing publishing fees. Submissions are selected entirely on merit and relevance to our community, supported by a robust open peer review process.
Looking Ahead
With submission numbers climbing, recent editions have been among the largest in the Journal’s history. To keep the publication sustainable and focused while continuing to showcase diverse voices, the Editorial Board has introduced a cap of 15 substantive articles per issue moving forward.
Whether you are looking to ground your practice in the latest evidence, explore theoretical innovations, or catch up on recent sector literature through the book reviews, we hope you find Issue 57 an engaging and thought-provoking read.
