#NICEC50 - Reflections on 50 years of NICEC
NICEC Fellow Dr Wendy Hirsh is the first contributor in our 50th anniversary to reflect on what NICEC means to them
NICEC is 50!
Over the forthcoming months, as we build up to an in-person celebration event in September 2025, a number of contributors will be reflecting on what NICEC has meant to them.
"I am indebted to NICEC for giving me a unique community of people interested in career development and committed to improving the career support for everyone as they navigate their educational choices and working lives.
Addressing difficult issues and sharing ideas and experiences across the domains of policy, research and practice is so enriching.
I have learned so much from those who work with schools and young people, provoking insights and questions for my own work with employers and working adults. Nowhere else gives me that diversity of experience in the careers field, depth of understanding and the willingness to share so openly."
