Heather Jackson

Heather Jackson is an experienced independent consultant specialising in adult careers advice and learning.  She established the first guidance service in the London Borough of Brent;  was Head of Information, Advice and Guidance for the National Health Service University; undertook the external policy adviser role to the cross-government review of adults information, advice and guidance (2006-7); designed the operating model for the delivery of career guidance delivered over the telephone and worked under contract to the Skills Funding Agency on the early development of the National Careers Service.

Heather has recently been working with the Association of Colleges on links between the National Careers Service and the FE sector and with LSIS on the Induction and CPD Modules on Labour Market Information and Partnership Working for the National Careers Service. She was Chair of the National Association of Guidance for Adults until its closure in 2013, a founding Director of the Career Development Institute and was a member of the National Careers Council until May 2013.
