David Winter

David has been a practising career adviser and consultant at The Careers Group, University of London since 1994, providing careers guidance to undergraduates and postgraduates. 

Currently, the majority of David’s work is in the consultancy division of The Careers Group. Here he provides individual career coaching for professionals at any stage. David also provides career development training and consultancy to organisations, such as the British Medical Association, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Fitch Ratings and Shell UK. David also provides professional development consultancy to other careers organisations. 

As well as delivering guidance-related training within The Careers Group, David is a tutor on the AGCAS Advanced Guidance Skills course, part of the Warwick University/AGCAS diploma for HE careers practitioners. He has also been a visiting lecturer on career theory for the Organisational Behaviour MSc course at City University.

Since 2009 David has been the lead author on the blog Careers — in Theory, which aims to apply classic and cutting edge career theory, research and a variety of other ideas to guidance and coaching practice.
