Charlotte Chadderton

Dr Charlotte Chadderton is a Reader in Education at the Cass School of Education and Communities, University of East London. Her research focuses on education and social justice, and she has a particular interest in race (in)equality, vocational education, careers education and securitisation in education. She has recently directed several projects in the field of careers education and social justice, including ‘After Connexions: Better careers education, better outcomes’, Greater London Authority and ‘A longitudinal study of young women’s transitions in Tower Hamlets in an age of austerity’, Aldgate and Allhallows Foundation. She is currently working with Hackney Community College on a Skills Funding Agency funded project to improve young East Londoners’ careers education in the creative and digital industries. Recent articles in this field have appeared in theLondon Review of Education, the Journal of Vocational Education and Training and Discourse. Studies in the Cultural Politics of Education.
